Egypt Plunged into Violence

Egypt
EGYPT, the headlines these days filled with news of growing violence on part of Egyptian Army are very hard to ignore. For the recent few years now Egypt has seen more then its fair share of unrest and violence. On 14 of this month Egyptian Army which came to control after carrying out Coup d'etat and deposing Morsi's Government stormed on Brotherhood protesters with the help of Helicopters in the skies while bulldozing encampments on the ground.

The violence that followed has left almost 100 people dead while some 3000 injured in the streets. Once again Egypt has been plunged into state of continued Violence, Churches Burned by Islamists with reciprocation on Government's part that followed declared emergency all across the country.

It was very unwise of Army to depose the democratically elected president; not that there is any doubt about the governments poor performance on almost every front whether in terms of economy or security issues, it is a known fact that sectarian hatred for Muslim and non-Muslim minorities was not controlled properly by the government. But still Army made a huge mistake by doing so, a mistake that has inflicted wave of violence on innocent people in the streets and has paved way for civil war.
Egyptians-Shot

It is not too late, armed forces should be refrained from wrecking further havoc to bring Egypt back to stability. One big step that can bring stability is announcing parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible.

Egypt
The Generals should think about the consequences of their actions, violence is not the way to solve anything. Considering the complex characteristics of Egyptian Populace, it is not hard to contemplate that democracy is not a result of any revolution but evolution and as such it should be given time. Another factor that contributed to the present scenario at large was the political involvement by the Egyptian State media, illegal coup was termed legitimate and labels put on previous government naming them terrorists that sparked infuriation from Muslim brotherhood.

Everything happening at the moment in Egypt is Confusing for many spectators, which I think has been main reason along with vested interests on part of many countries. But the lack of response from international community is only making things worse!

Turkish Court Convicts Ex Army Chief

Europe-Asia
In Turkey headlines have been made involving the conviction of Ex Military Chief and scores of other people including Journalists and Politicians for plotting to overthrow the Democratic Government of Islamist party. In total 250 people faced verdicts in the said case, out of which 19 defendants including Ex Army Chief Basbug were sentenced to life imprisonment while 64 defendants faced imprisonment sentences ranging from 1 to 45 years. Also Turkish Court acquitted 21 people of charges against them.

Defendants were accused by the prosecution of preparing way for a military coup via High profile terrorist attacks under the cover of an organization called Ergenekon. Other accusations levelled included plotting to kill the now Prime Minister Erdogan, a noble laureate Orhan Pamuk and other high profile targets.

Ilker-Basbug
Convicted Ex Military Chief
The most prominent Defendant in the case, ilker basbug who was the army chief between 2008-10 in turkey was convicted for the internet sites that were posed as hostile towards the Government. The second most prominent figure was Brigadier General Veli Kucuk who has been sentenced to double life on charges that he ran Death Squads in South East parts of turkey; other then that two parliamentarians, that is to say a university founder and Surgeon Mehmet Haberal and a Journalist Mustafa Balbay were sentenced to imprisonment of 12 and 34 years respectively. Also another well known figure, previous head of higher education council was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

There are many people who are in favour of the convictions while there are also many others who believe otherwise. Both have their reasons, many have staged protest against the convictions stating it was highly unfair. After the Convictions the whole country has been divided into two factions, one is those ultra nationalists who are accused of being behind the scenes force and those secularists who believe that Islamist Government is trying to undermine the secularism in the country.

Is Al-Qaeda really up to something big?

Interpol-issues-global-alert
DI Khan Jail
Today we live in societies with so much issues that hold us back, back from progress and development not only in terms of physical needs but also the thinking process. Poverty, corrupt social norms and lack of education with so many more are the issues that are consistently plaguing almost all societies for a century. Unfair to say that these severe issues were not doing so before but now in the present day, when world has been transformed into a global village it is very easy to address these issues if only we have the will to do so!

Today in many unprivileged societies at large and in others to some extent that call themselves educated and progressive; Extremism and intolerance have been rooted deep into these societies due to internal as well as external factors. Many sociologists have formed a conclusion after thorough research that Extremism nurtures intolerance and ultimately terrorism all across; All these issues also have origins in other issues like for example the one I described above, Poverty and lack of education etc.

Al-Qaeda is a global terrorist organization that is highly organized and  is devoted to attacking military as well as civil targets all round the globe, it views all the liberal Muslims, non-Sunnis and Sufi's as heretics. It was important to mention above issues because Al-Qaeda and all other Militant organizations exploit these issues to their advantage all the time. Also I as literate obligation to say here that all the misconceptions about Islam are wrong. A religion never promotes extremism and most of all Islam is all about being balanced in everything and not taking extremes. Al-Qaeda along with all other terrorists are just a minute portion of Muslim population that are damaging our image in front of whole world.

Recently there has been jailbreaks making headlines in media, these incidents occurred in 9 countries including Pakistan, Libya and Iraq. United States closed embassies in some 21 countries followed by Britain announcing to do so in Yemen and Canada in Bangladesh respectively. Interpol also issued an alert globally that there is a huge possibility that Al-Qaeda was behind the incidents and may plan more in near future. It also requested its member countries to cooperate in any way possible to confirm whether these were isolated or interlinked events. According to latest reports some 500 convicts broke out in Libya, 1100 in Libya while 150 in Pakistan.

United States warned its citizens against foreign travel saying:

"Current information suggests that Al-Qaeda and affiliated organisations continue to plan terrorist attacks both in the region and beyond, and that they may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the period between now and the end of August".

So the big question whether Al-Qaeda is behind these incidents or not? and are they planning to carry out more of these breakouts along with other terror activities? Considering the Fact that many of their Senior Commanders with Osama at the top of the list have been killed in the previous years its not hard to comprehend for an answer!

Ahmedinejad retires from office after Khamenei approves Rouhani as new President

Ahmedinejad-addressing-United-Nations
Mahmoud Ahmedinejad addressing UN
Many Leaders throughout the world have made a place in history by both right and wrong ways. Some were introduced to a strong place in history via their strive for welfare of general public while others came to be know as tyrants in history. Leaders like Hitler, Napoleon, Joseph Stalin etc paved their way to political prominence by being hard liners, who made hard decisions that lead to horrific Consequences. But all the same it will not be fair to say all of them were Tyrants, If we take into consideration Genghis Khan or Joseph Stalin they were pure tyrants who suppressed anyone who was at contrary with them.

Addressing-UN
Just like that it will be unfair to term Ahmedinejad as the second type of leaders that I just described, and all that just because he was a hard line Leader who was staunchly opposed to come on terms with US and Israel. I also believe that ahmedinejad should have been more diplomatic rather goint to an extreme but despite that Its just a plausible and Rational thought, I mean how can one just term someone as that second type when their extreme position towards Israel is factually supported by the notion that Israel is single nuclear power in middle east. keeping that in mind one should not jump to conclusions about type of leadership the leader is portraying. Just as Israel has been Pre-emptively Defensive all this time and takes all measures to safeguard itself, Ahmednejad was doing the same but the difference is the latter restrict himself mostly to words to get Diplomatic Advantage.

Mahmoud Ahmedinejad left office yesterday after two terms spread over almost 8 years of Presidency and was replaced by the President elect Hassan Rouhani who was approved to be a president by Ayatollah Khamenei. Retiring from Presidential office has given him time to form University along with an office so that he can sustain his presence in politics. Other then that Ahmedinejad plans on launching several Publications.

The first presidential Campaign was filled with slogans of strengthening economy, helping the poor that appeared to be realistic because of his poor but not uneducated background. He did deliver, helped poor allot and transformed Iran into a economically strong country but faced downfall during second term in office when the economy started to cripple due to all those economic sanctions on oil sales and international banking Sanctions resulting from his staunch and extreme opposition to West. That is when everything started to turn around and he lost public trust.

In contrast to first term where he portrayed himself as a spokesman for Supreme Leader, in second term Ahmedinejad Started to build a political circle of supporters and started challenging the Dominance of Conservative Clerics certainly making matters far more worse for him. Everything else followed these events and led to a Ahmedinejad being domestically as well as internationally defamed.

Russia Approves Snowden's Asylum Request

NSA-Whistle-Blower
Edward Snowden an NSA(National Security Agency) fugitive is responsible for leaking some very sensitive official documents pertaining to US Surveillance programs like PRISM. With Snowden on the run from prosecution in his home country, the whole scenario puts a huge question mark on US. As confirmed by Julian Assange himself wiki leaks did help Snowden at more then one time. Edward Snowden was offered asylum by countries like Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Bolivia but Snowden thought it more plausible to wait to see if Russia will approve his asylum request.

Seems like Snowden's wait was worth it, Russia has granted Snowden asylum for one year. According to snowden's lawyer Snowden may or may not decide to stay in Russia as of now. There are chances that he will leave for Latin American Countries that extended their offer to Snowden for Asylum.

Many in USA still see Snowden as a traitor who should be tried under Espinoge Act. But whatever thee truth is it seems Documents may not stop yet on Snowdens part at least. The Guardian a leading Newspaper fueled current scenario further by revealing details about another US Surveillance Program yesterday. According to the newspaper's released details, US authorities keep check on large Email, online chats and browsing histories databases without any authorization beforehand.

Things really are getting messy for United Sates now, it is quite visible from what has happened in previous days that it is loosing its grip on the world.

Bradley Manning's Scenario !

Bradley-Manning-Disclosed-Official-material
Its never easy to be a whistle blower or in this case just someone accused of passing on classified information, they know what consequences their actions might bear for them but still they do them. Why? is it Fame they seek? or riches? Each one of them whether its Edward Snowden or Bradley Manning, putting themselves in danger to get fame. I don't think so! its too much of a price to pay.

Are there any Diplomatic Complexities in Snowden's Asylum Request?

Prosecution based their case on one particular civil war trial of private Henry Vanderwater who was charged with aiding the enemy by leaking union roster to Alexandria Newspaper in Virginia. He was sentenced to three months hard labor and was dishonorably discharged from service. But in the end Judge Denise decided to acquit the charge. Manning's defense tried to carry out the case in manning's favor by arguing that young manning's actions were well intended, that by these actions he wanted to spark global debate on U.S Foreign policy and nothing else!

Bradley Manning a U.S solider was stationed in Iraq near Baghdad when he was arrested for allegedly transferring Classified information to Wiki leaks on May 2010. He was charged with 22 offenses of which one was aiding enemy. The suspicion on which Bradley arrested was instilled by a Computer Hacker named Adam Lamo to FBI. Adam Claimed to be confidant of Manning; told FBI that Manning according to their online chat had downloaded material from databases and transferred it to Wiki leaks, material that included some 500,000 army reports pertaining to Iraq War Logs and Afghan War Logs along with 250,000 Diplomatic Cables and videos of 12 July Baghdad airstrike and 2009 Granai airstrike in Afghanistan. All this info no doubt bolstered the arrest of Manning plus 22 charges.

Manning's court marshal lasted for some seven weeks that follows the verdict by Judge colonel Denise lind that found manning guilty of 20 charges including theft and digital Fraud but what is surprising in this affair is that manning was acquitted of the most important charge and that was of aiding the enemy, this action on part of the military judge has forced many to raise eyes as to why judge will acquit him of most serious charge while holding on to all other charges. is it because she like many others thinks that 25 years old manning has had not leaked information with general evil intent? it most certainly seems to be the very reason.

This scenario dose provoke a thought in many minds; the persons who put their lives at stake by disclosing official information that draws back the curtain from government wrong doings while knowing the price, is it right to convict them?!

Egyptians have to Start Enduring Realities

In the previous couple of days Egypt has seen yet another epilogue of worst Crisis starting by coup against its first democratically elected president Morsi followed by strong protests by Defiant Muslim Brotherhood. It is not the first time that Military Generals have deemed it necessary to carry out coup d'etat to protect the national interest. But for what it was worth all we have seen yet is more instability along with surging number of deaths at the hands of Egyptian Army. For the last one week Cairo has been packed with the protesters Demanding the release of the ousted President.

There is no doubt in believing that time ahead for Egyptians will not be an easy one they will have to face many difficulties. The Post Morsi Era will be that of an ideological Conflict between the Islamists and Secularists, an era that may be earmarked by intense struggle between the two to bring Egypt under their Factions ideology. One should not be naive to form an opinion that with President Morsi's ouster Political Islam lost its stronghold just as Brotherhood thought of Secularists when they came to power.

President Morsi at peak of his power

What we have to understand is the notion that gave Military the mandate to come back to power was the public support that was neither Islamist nor Secularist. The public that wanted the same as at the time Mubarak's ouster, Political stability that will lead to public security along with economic stability. These were the real reasons for the ousters. Different Ideological factions may be able to manipulate circumstances to their advantage but truth is that the real reasons for the public turning against their Rulers is lack of Governance, Stability and economic prospects.

In my view if Egyptians truly want stability to be restored they need to be tolerant enough to make some compromises that will lead to bridging the Huge gap that exists between two strong Ideological Factions that is to say Islamists and Secularists. Both Sides have to realize the bitter realities and think for the long term future ahead unless they don't want Egypt to be a stable and peaceful again

Are there any Diplomatic Complexities in Snowden's Asylum Request ?

Anyone keeping in view the latest incoming news about on the run Whistle blower ''Edward Snowden'' will not find it hard to comprehend the complex situation snowden has landed himself into, the one that involves some very serious risks on part of his host country right now that is to say Russia. Although news is coming in with some bright signs of hope that his asylum request will be accepted in week or less by the migration office but one never knows what is happens behind the scene on International Diplomatic Forum, and Mr. Edward snowden seems like a very smart guy to sense any such happenings.

All the same only time will show what will happen? but as of now its anticipated that Mr. Snowden will be staying  at Hotel Sheremetyevo for some time because of Russian Federal Migration service's Failure to process papers in time, which dose point out to the fact that he may be given asylum but certainly after facing many difficulties.

According to Snowdens Lawyer Mr. Anatoly Kucherena who happens to be Russian, clarified that it may take a little longer to get his clients Asylum request approved because of its diplomatic complications but that he was hopeful that most probably request will be approved soon. These comments whatever else their intended purpose be dint bring any peace to already chaotic situation Snowden is in, they only brought in another chaotic Day messed up with reporters trying to get to Snowden to make comment.

Also Mr Kucherena Implied and remarked that he hopes a very good future for his client in russia and that he may get married in russia someday not to Ex Russian spy maybe but to anyone else he wishes. he made these comments by further saying that they were recieving allot of Accomadation and marriage proposals from russian women via internet and that Snowden was thankful to all of them !

Palestinian future: Another Useless round of Talks Expected

U.S Secretary of state in talks with President Mahmoud Abbas to reopen Peace negotiations with Israel.

The holy land of Jerusalem and other Palestinian land all round it has always been the source of conflict between Jews, Christians and Muslims. For centuries it was ruled by Holy Roman Emperors followed by Muslim rule and now in the present time most of the Holy Land is under the Jews i.e Israel. Israel has always been on defensive right from the start of its existence, always fearing attacks from its neighbors and forming preemptive Strategies. It was in 1967 that Israel got recognized as a real force in the region when it occupied major portions of land from its neighbors as a result of war.

There has been efforts to bolster reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis time and again but were always ended without any positive results. Once again USA as mediator has sent U.S Secretary of State John Kerry to the middle east in latest efforts to restart the Peace negotiations between the two rival parties i.e PLO and Israeli Government. The spectators of the show are now getting tired of these on and off talks that always get ended without any breakthroughs. Everyone that is a stakeholder to these talks knows that the talks will bear nothing because Palestinians will never accept Israel as a Jewish state in Arab lands while Israelis will not recognize any Palestinian State plus no matter the significance of any talks they will never stop building new Settlements, roads and security walls.

Israel with US at its back, helping it with military and economic aid has established its foothold in terms of economy and military in the middlemost and maintains nuclear monopoly to this very day. The ruling party and all other Rightist in Israel will never agree to define their borders as those before 1967 and lets be honest why should they do so when they clearly know that even if they allow the formation of a free Palestinian state under PLO, it will still be under their protection. PLO is not the same organization it used to be under Yasir Arafat, after his assassination PLO has bent allot towards USA and Israel. !

Malala Yousafzai traitor or brave hero

Its not about being famed globally but doing something  bigger then yourself, something that adds greater meaning to your life that makes you truly important. Malala Yousafzai is that person, 16 years old girl who stood for girls right to education with courage. She showed the world that what real bravery is by standing tall to a group of Insurgents who had banned girls from getting education. There are very few people round the globe who have courage to do so and that's what makes them special and brings fame to them not the other way round.

Malala long before her assassination attempt at the age of 12 started writing Blog for BBC's Urdu service. It was right after New York Times documentary on her life that she rose to prominence and started giving interviews..Malala has been hounded with Pakistan's National Youth Peace Prize Award and has been nominated for the International Children's Peace Prize and Nobel Peace Prize. Along with many other honors she got the honor of having her name added to ''the 100 most influential people in the World'' and her name being featured on the cover of Times Magazine.

In light of all these achievements and let me say here all these achievements as a consequence of her brave stand Against Taliban, i seriously don't know why will anyone label her as a traitor and write conspiracy theories against her. I seriously Doubt that she is some agent trying to promote some foreign propaganda, i mean alright it may be possible that her campaign may be used against Pakistan but there simply are no grounds to level accusations against a innocent girl who got shot in the head for standing against a militant faction of the society. It is not fair to project Malala as working against Pakistan and Islam keeping in view that she has not displayed through any of her actions at any single International platform yet.

A question that all of us should ask ourselves is what is Malala's Crime ? is it that she raised voice for Education ? or is it because she refused to cave in to militants as majority of people do ? Keeping in view the first verses of Quran that clearly direct Muslims to learn reading and writing, these questions should not be hard to answer.

Edward Snowden Hero or not

In the previous few years many official documents pertaining to different governments or other state institutions have been leaked by individuals working alone or by organizations like Wiki leaks. Every time classified official document are disclosed the whistle blowers are branded as a traitor or a spy who wants to harm the national interests of the country in focus.

Edward Joseph Snowden is one such example, a former american technical contractor at NSA(National Security Agency) and a former CIA employee. Snowden branded as traitor by some is responsible for leaking information relevant to various highly classified Surveillance programs of US and UK Governments, PRISM and Tempora being one of them. So naturally as expected Snowden was charged with espinoge and stealing of Government's property in United States of America. Question that one should ask , Is Snowden a whistle blower or a traitor ?

Malala Traitor or Brave Hero !
Malala One Girl in Defiance !
Are there any Diplomatic Complexities in Edward Snowden's Asylum Request?

No matter whether in the end he appears to be a traitor or a Whistle blower, either way he will still get prosecuted in US. Right now Mr. Snowden's top priority is to get asylum somewhere safe. He requested asylum from many countries himself, at the present moment he is stranded in Russia waiting for a reaction from Russian government to his asylum request. In my opinion he should not be treated as a traitor and dealt with under America's World war I espinoge act, I mean after all its not like US is at war in that old way, World has changed its Internets era. Snowden must be treated as a whistle blower if he ever appears before court in US.

I for one am going to congratulate Mr. Snowden for the disclosure, it is not because of his success at all the popularity he has gained but because i do know and believe that it must have been a very hard and tough choice to go public about all those surveillance programs. Knowing that one will be most likely branded as a traitor to his country and prosecuted for that but still doing the right thing with going public that really dose make Edward Snowden a hero to me!

J.K Rowling's take on Crime

Many prominent and well famed authors round the globe may find it very hard to gauge the performance of their new written works given that the success is often driven by their previous experiences in the industry. In these circumstances it becomes very common for renowned authors like J.K Rowling herself to write under the secret name. Most of the time, these authors find it very hard to keep their works secret. One way or another their secret identity is revealed at some point in time.

J.K Rowling wrote a crime novel named ''The Cuckoo's Calling'' under a pseudonym, she used the secret identity of Robert Galbraith to write the novel. J.K intended to reveal her identity anyways but according to her, she wanted the liberating experience to continue for sometime. its only natural that she is angry with the Legal firm Russels for leaking her identity.

Rumor had it that this event was just part of publicity campaign but Russels had made it clear that it was not, furthermore it stated that no one at Russels, Rowling or her agent were involved in any marketing plan whatsoever. Nonetheless one has to admit that all this did help boost sales for the novel, previously 1,500 copies had been sold to public but as fast as the news got ignited novel's place raised more then 5,000 place within hours at Amazon's sales list.

The experience of writing under a different and unknown name has been too good according to Rowling. First copies that were sold and were signed as Robert Galbraith by Rowling can earn allot of money for these first Fortunate Buyers, Keeping in view that these copies have a bid of over $1000 on eBay dose  look promising to me. The cuckoo's Calling is currently at number 1 place on amazon.com.

Malala Fighting for a Cause: One Girl in Defiance !

One girl standing in defiance against a militant group having significant dominance in terms of physical strength really is something that should be given due credit and appreciation. Taliban made a huge mistake attacking an innocent girl especially the one who quite visibly had the potential to take matters to an international audience, in doing so it seems they made a very huge mistake. Instead of being silenced her voice was amplified a hundred folds, She already was an ambassador but in attacking her Taliban made it sure that she becomes a rallying figure and symbol, a powerful symbol that is already rallying disciples in large numbers as we speak especially after her start of education campaign via UN after she addressed the assembly. No one including herself may have anticipated that she will one day get to take her message of education to a global forum such as UN, have a day declared in her honor and more then 50 million innocent girls round the globe deprived of basic right to education, and having half a million people sign petitions to nominate her for noble peace prize.

Malala Addressing UN
Back in 2008 Swat and adjoining areas became stronghold of Taliban, militants enforced Islamic law in light of their strict interpretations and force girls to stay at home. It was at that time that Malala aged 11 went to Peshawar for an press club event and in front of national press gave a well published and appreciated speech named ''How Dare the Taliban Take Away My Basic Right to Education''.  Late in the same year she started writing blog for BBC Urdu and thus began her path to international fame.

Here in Pakistan environment is always viable for conspiracy theories, and yet another one has been hatched with so much confusions. it just dose not make any sense at all, Taliban themselves headed by Moulana Fazul-ullah claimed the responsibility for the shooting incident. okay Guys just think for a while, how is it plausible to say that CIA is using her ? i mean how will it benefit any country other then our own where half of children population even less than that complete primary education. but then again Conspiracy theories do have potent nurturing grounds here in our beloved country ! our Deeply rooted sense of denying realities makes it hard for us to confront our enemies at home.
It should not be projected as unfair to dub all those who are criticizing this innocent girl as an agent as Pakistani Taliban apologists and more importantly we should not forget that this is little girl we are talking about, we should all bare ourselves from making her a center of political and an ideological debate, all of us should recognize her bravery and appreciate it as has been done by Imran Khan and others round the world.

GLEE: Lost a real talent to Substance abuse !

Cory Moneteith
I always liked watching musicals whether films or TV series, they never get old. Although allot of people dont like musicals especially glee, but still they lack the understanding that music really is what defines us and everything around us. Glee is one such attempt to define what life is via music. Cory Moneteith was part of this series and played his role very well till his death.

He was a Canadian actor and musician who was well known for his role in Glee as Finn Hudson internationally, right from the start he had a very troubled childhood and adolescence involving substance abuse. Cory tried hard at various points in life to get rid of his addiction by entering drug rehabilitation but failed to do so. He had minor roles in series like Stargate Atlantis and Smallville but became famous for his lead role in glee, he was given this role for his audition tape in which he sang ''Cant Fight this Feeling''.  He also worked in films like Monte Carlo and Sisters & Brothers.

When music hits, you feel no pain? White House Down Review
The Reluctant Fundamentalist Review

According to the British Columbia Coroners Service, an overdose of heroin and alcohol that lead to mixed drug toxicity resulted in Cory's Tragic Death. They also said that right now all the evidence points out that it really was tragic accident and not intentional.

Glee had had allot of amazing moments of Cory as Finn Hudson. Out of all those moments in my opinion the best ones were him and all others singing ''DON'T STOP BELIEVING'', Stay Away from my future wife and Cory and Lea's Convo:

Cory and Lea Michele
- Finn: It's your own star
- Rachel: You named a star after me?
- Finn: No, I thought about that, but then I named it Finn Hudson. Because there's already a star named Rachel Berry. And she's right here on earth, and she's brighter than any of       those stars up there. So I just wanted to make sure that whenever she feels lonely she can look up in the sky, and no matter where I am, she can know that I'm looking down on her."

The Family of Cory along with his girlfriend/co-star in glee Lea Michele are grieving, they have received huge amount of wishes from all round the world. Glee's success really did had allot of contribution from Cory and even though Show executive will find suitable replacement but still Glee will never be the same again!

Don't stop believing is an inspiration song covered by glee more then once, the first time it was covered in first episode and was the real motivation for me to pick up this series to watch.
