Game of thrones major contender for Emmy Awards 2013

Emmy-Awards
Peter Dinklage
An epic Fantasy series and adaptation of the novel ''A Song of Ice and fire'' by George R.R. Martin, Game of thrones stands out from other TV series in many aspects. For one the series is a huge budget series, freedom from budget constraints definitely aided the series creators to use high quality Visual Effects. The series has had an exceptionally great direction along with its good choice of music. Most of all the Script is what makes it different from all the other series in the industry. Three Plot lines(based on the fictional lands of Essos and Westeros) following different tracks but with same theme have been synchronized in the best way possible; with first one following the war between Five kings/Noble houses for the control of Westeros/Seven kingdoms/Iron Throne, Second follows the return of The others(mythical creatures) in the North of The Wall and last one follows the difficulties faced by Daenerys Targaryen last known Heir to the Targaryen house and the rightful heir to the iron throne.

Everything about this series is perfect; different from others in a sense that characters have an inner fight, a fight between right and wrong! plus nothing is certain. You people should already be convinced that this one deserves to win all those Emmy's this year. This year biggest competition posed to GOT at Emmy's will be from Breaking Bad, no doubts there! but still there is a big chance that it may take home many of the categories it has been nominated for. The Red wedding Event, single most Violent Scene for almost ever in TV industry was carried out exceptionally  exceeding all expectations. The Rains of Castamere outmatches any other series episode in the recent history of TV. There series Definitely has fair of Chance of winning! The pressure will be there without any doubts but still ..

In my opinion the series deserve them Emmy's, all of them due to some very concrete reasons. Game of thrones is single series out there in which there is no certainty of what will happen to plot or to fans most Favorite characters off and on( take Red wedding as an example ;) ).  Unlike any other series this show dose not give you a clear picture of who is hero and who is villain, many a times single character turns out to be hero and villain simultaneously. There is no clear line between right and wrong in the series when it comes to the self-preservation of your house. Politics and issues of morality set aside, one gets to be hooked to this one because of its few glimpses of magical creatures and powers.(i.e White walkers, Wargs, Dragons, Red women with her mysterious fire lore). Also the dragons are presented in such a different way as if some normal animals who need training.
Game-of-thrones
Emilia Clarke

Other then all the arguments above, I must say that Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke deserve to win again this year because of their exceptionally great portrayal of the characters.

Publicity Hits Miley Cyrus!

Miley-Cyrus
Miley Cyrus
Entertainment industry looks very attractive to almost everyone but what we forget is the consequences of one bad move in this secto0r. If you are not careful enough your hard earned fame can turn to ashes in an instant, especially at this time of point. Many Musicians climb their way to popularity and fame through their talent and some luck but come staggering back down due to their newly found negative attitudes.

Miley Cyrus started her career with minor roles in T.V series named Doc and Film Big fish, but rose to prominence for her role of Miley Stewart in Popular Disney Series Hannah Montana. I personally like Miley as an artist, though I dint approve of the immature behavior she is portraying lately but still there is no doubt that she is an talented musician. Just have look at her music career. Party in the USA, The Climb and When I look at you; all these singles were exceptionally amazing. She is the single artist from Disney who touched heights of success(no offense to the Selena fans).

Recently Miley has been the intense topic of discussion in Entertainment news globally due to her controversial performance at VMA 2013. The performance came ahead of her album Bangers. The massive publicity has helped her single Wrecking Ball to top the charts including Vevo Chart with almost 95,286,022 views on YouTube. Also in the wake of these events Miley and Liam Hemsworth (known for his role in The hunger games, the Expendables and paranoia) have called off their Engagement. Both star had started going out after the movie The Last Song in which both played the lead roles.

So all in all there is no conflict of opinion on Miley's exceptionally talented singing career, but she has to heed her moves as advised rightly by Elton John. Elton John while being interviewed by The Australian saying that if miley continued down the path she was on currently, she will have a meltdown which will not be first time happening to musicians. Elton told The paper that that he knew that Michael Jackson was going to die due to his massive drug taking and that had known Michael almost all of his life. Elton and many others like him including me have miley's best interests at heart, its time she listens to her father and restrains herself from going down the wrong path . If truth be told the publicity she is getting will be just Short term and will damage her career in the long term!

The Butler Review

Oprah-Winfrey-and-Forest-Whitaker
Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker.
There are hundreds or more films released on and off that focus on plot lines that are sometimes serious while at others just for enjoyment. These plot lines are guided by themes/genres; to name some these can be Action, Adventure, Romance, Comedy, Horror, Historical, Philosophical, Fantasy, Thriller or political etc. Now most of these genres don't have seriousness at their core.

For me the only genres that turn out to be serious and substance of intellect are Romance, Historical, Philosophical or Political. I find these films to be interesting and in my opinion these genres provide viewers with story lines that are exceptionally great and worth a watch. The Butler is one such film directed by Lee Daniels, an Historical Drama Film with an amazing story that canters around White house Butler named Cecil Gaines. Other then Direction the film( that has ensemble cast) carries an amazing script written by Danny Strong.

The Reluctant Fundamentalist Review
The Spectacular Now Review
The Wolverine Review

The film has outperformed at the weekend box office garnering some 20m $ just in North America. The main cast is comprised some very talented Celebs. The role of Butler/Cecil is played by non other then Forest Whitaker who gave an excellent Performance that certainly deserves an Oscar. The moments portrayed by Whitaker are small but at the same time subtle, layered and all powerful. Character gets its strength from the silent moments that Whitaker performed so well!

Other Cast members include Cecil's Wife Gloria, a character portrayed by well known popular TV host Oprah Winfrey is amazing too. A performance that is both beauty and complex at the same time; a women who is struggling with very difficult realities that include those of his son, Loneliness followed by Drug Addiction. It will be unfair to not mention the outstanding performances by Liev Schrieber and Alan Rickman as President Johnson and Regan respectively.

Whitehouse
The plot depicts civil rights movement and other historical events spread over different Presidencies plus all the lynchings, violence, beating and injustice all in all are shown in a comprehended way. All these events which bore no interest whatsoever to Cecil do alter his life in ways not known to him, and finally at the end of film he overcomes his fears and demonstrated through voting for the first Black America President in 2008 Elections.

The Newsroom is attempt to revitalize Journalism

Aaron-Sorkin-The-Newsroom
There are all sorts of TV Drama series; some are action and fiction based while others deal with realities, but then there are others that deal with realities in whole new way garnering massive audience. The Newsroom is one such example, it is a political drama based on Behind the scene story of real events inside ACN(Atlantis Cable News) that is purely a fictional news company reporting said events. It has been created and written by Aaron Sorkin; Sorkin who is known most notably for The West West Wing (an Emmy winning and critically acclaimed series) started working on The Newsroom back in 2009 and was given an order by HBO to produce pilot in January 2011.

The Newsroom is for the ones who take news and journalism seriously, so obviously audience targeted was not huge but still it managed to get huge audience due to its unique way of presenting the storyline. This one for sure is inspirational for future Journalists to be, as for me I am writing this opinion from a normal viewers point of view and in my opinion it is worth a watch due to its take on news in a different way.

Game of thrones owes growing popularity to Red Wedding

The Newsroom grabbed attention via its videos excerpted from first episode in first season that went viral on social media, Will McAvoy made quite an impression on viewers with his explanation as to why America is not a greatest country any more (outstandingly put to the screen).
The-Newsroom-Ensemble-Cast

The show focuses on how journalism should be, helping electorate to make informed and educated decisions not the otherwise. Will McAvoy along with his staff join in together to change the way news is reported via News Night 2.5 in face of all the corporate, commercial and personal obstacles; reviving News Night in light of the quote that ''Every one is entitled to his opinion, but not his facts''.

The-Newsroom
Jim, Mac and Maggie
Just like every other Work of his with serious tone like The Social Network, Money ball or The West Wing; The News Night is centred around ideals that explain how things should be! That is where the value of his work lies and for that very same reason he is considered one of the best screen writers. In my view The Newsroom dint receive the attention and audience that it deserved so well.

The Spectacular Now Review

THE-SPECTACULAR-NOW
There are some movies that focus on very serious and rare stories that hold true for so many people, we may not even know it but they may be present amongst us. The spectacular Now is a comedy and teen drama film that focuses on a coming of age story. Two lead characters Sutter and Aimee have different views about future but still they find a connection between them that draws them close, closer then they anticipated.

The story of the film perfectly depicts the ordinary lives of teenagers in quite an extraordinary way and their attitudes towards life. I mean its just amazing how the story rolls out as a teen romance that is so much exhilarating just like a teenagers life.

The Spectacular Now is based on the novel with the same name written by Tim Tharp. The storyline is very simple one. Sutter Keely played by Miles Teller is a party animal sort of high school boy who gets drunk quite often, right after being dumped by a beautiful blond girl he meets

Aimee played by shailene Woodly. Aimee is just the opposite of Sutter mainly in terms of view on life and future. Sutter just wants to be with Aimee to make his ex Jealous but along the lines something happens that neither of them expected, they fall for each other and a connection between them starts to grow strong.
THESPECTACULARNOW

It is that connection between the two that makes Aimee as well as the viewers about how dark Sutter's life was and the tragedy that it encompassed. As a defence Mechanism Sutter finds comfort in drinking and has adopted a philosophy of living in the Now.

The Spectacular Now's name alone speaks the fact that movie is trying to comfort these distressed teens by showing that the image teenagers form about life being painful and miserable is just there in our heads and they can easily make things nicer for them by showing will!

Possibilities for OSCARS 2014

OSCARS-2014
With some experience and observation it is not difficult to presume that best contenders for the Best picture this year may be Tracy Letts Pulitzer Prize winning play named August: Osage County which is about a dysfunctional family; the film with the same name has an Excellent ensemble Cast including Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, that alone is enough to buy this film a nomination at OSCARS for best picture. Other then this another high contender is 'The Monuments Men' directed, co-produced and co-written by George Clooney; a Wartime Drama with a group of people trying to protect some precious artwork from Nazis. Other then these two The Great Gatsby featuring Leonardo Decaprio is also up in the nomination list. All these high profile films deserve to be nominated but as a personal opinion I will say that there is one other Movie ''The Reluctant Fundamentalist'' that deserves the top position due to exceptional story, perfect music and created with courage to point out some realities that need to be addressed. Its too good not to be at least considered for the top spot.

It is most probable that the contenders for this years Best Director will be Tom Hanks for Saving Mr. Banks, Michael Fassbender for Twelve Years a Slave, Mark Rufflo for Fox Catcher and Mathew McConaughey for The Wolf of Wall Street. It seems like the Oscar for best actor will also result in some tough competition as Lenardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks will be competing via The Wolf of Wall Street and Captain Phillips Respectively. on the other hand for best Actress, Meryl Streep seems to be a very strong contender along with Judi Dench for Philomena and Sandra Bullock for Gravity.

Television and Film industry has been active for a century now in many countries round the globe, Worlds well known and most popular Film industry is Hollywood. Every year different award ceremonies are conducted to honour and celebrate the leading personalities in the world of cinematic s. Different Awards like Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards and Tony Awards are bestowed upon out performers in Film , Television, Music and Theater industries respectively. All the other Awards were formed and modelled after the success and popularity of Academy Awards a.k.a OSCARS. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences(AMPAS) organizes the Formal ceremony each year to give out these Awards, AMPAS was first conceived by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer E and presented OSCARS for the first time at a ceremony in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in 1929.

OSCARS-2014
Ellen DeGeneres
Motion Pictures Academy has announced that Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting this years Oscar Award Ceremony at 8 p.m, March 2 2014 on ABC. It will be the second time first being the one in 2007, that she will get to entertain everyone at the ceremony with her natural ability to make people laugh. They really did made the right decision by choosing Ellen, it may even raise their ratings this time triple fold.

Sharmeen-Obaid-Chinoy
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy
Ellen hosting the show is very exciting for me but what's even more exciting is that this year Pakistan will submit a movie for Foreign Film Category after almost 50 years. Pakistan first submitted a film named 'Jago hua savera' for the category back in 1959 and then the second one in 1960 named Ghunghat. A committee free from state involvement has been formulated with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy chairing it and includes the Writer of 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' Mohsin Hameed; Directors Mehreen Jabaar, Akifa Mian and Samina Peerzada along with actor Rahat Kazmi and Arts Academic Framji Minwalla. With the revival of cinema in Pakistan this year Sharmeen will have 23 well directed movies to select from and it sure will be very difficult choice to make!

Game of Thrones owes growing popularity to Red Wedding

Game-of-thrones
Lannisters sent their regards!
Fantasy Series have always garnered massive amounts of fan base, all of it starts with fantasy books that are written to blurt out a whole new world that depicts our own in so many ways and then these best sellers lead way on screen to become popular series of all time with a fan base that cant be measured in terms of counts. Almost everyone who comes in contact falls for them immediately , at least every one from our Generation ;) All these Fantasy movies based on novels like Lord of the rings, Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia have had their fair share of fan base for showing us realities of life through whole new territory. Game of thrones also follows the same line except it's creators deemed it good to do it via Drama series rather then a film.

The fantasy genre has been promoted by television series that is to say that Game of thrones broadened the fan circle of fantasy, no doubts being a big budget series did help big time by materializing an amazing story into amazing drama series with very impressive visuals and cinematography.

The Series is based on several plots each one interlinking with the other that encircle around Westeros and Essos; through these plot lines several severe issues like Civil War, loyalty, honesty, Crime, Religion, Corruption, Conspiracies and may other are addressed perfectly via various well portrayed characters. Three plots in the series are civil war between seven elite houses for the Iron throne, the evil that has emerged again in the North and attempt by last heir of exiled Targaryen dynasty to reclaim what was taken from them by force and deceit.
Game-of-thrones
Lannister House

All the interlinked plots and confusing stories that revolve around characters make the overall plot more complex, while watching it every detail has to be comprehended quite carefully and that is where Game of Thrones mainly garnered its success. Viewers were estranged by the series because instead of being simplistic like many series in the same genre it was much more complex.

Game of thrones has managed to grab as many as 16 Emmy nominations this year, thanks to all the social media following that was created as a direct result of Red wedding a.k.a Rains of Castamere treat and those reaction videos that emerged after the episode made the story go viral. Other then this years Emmy nominations Game of thrones has been able to have Primetime Emmy Nomination for Drama series in all three seasons, Golden Globe Award Nomination for Best Television series, Primetime Emmy Award for Best supporting Actor and Golden Globe Award for Best supporting Actor. The last two wins on its plate are of none other but Tyrion Lannister who has won much more then just awards among the fan base.
The Moment when you realize something horrible is about to happen
Sure Awards are just a measure of performance! but they mostly stem out of vast popularity that they enjoy among their fan base round the Globe. while gauging the popularity one will find it quite hard that recent big up in the popularity owes big time to Red Wedding.

Glee Dedicates Episode to address Cory's Death

Recently Lea Michael told her 3.5 m Followers via Twitter that she was thankful  to everyone for the huge level of support shown, that it helped her allot to go through grieving phase. Lea and Cory's relationship was quite strong like the one they shared on Glee. It is not hard to imagine that Cory must having found happiness while being at Glee with all the amazing ensemble cast who had been supportive of him all this time. It really is sad to see young talent falling prey to such abuse. Tough measures are required to stop this from happening to anyone whether a celebrity or a commoner.

The cast and crew of glee mourned together at a ceremony where everyone while grieving shared their best moments with Monteith  and also shared songs/stories. The Co-creator of the Show Ryan Murphy said in a statement that he thought it better that everyone should get back to the work where they all shared the same grief, also Ryan said that Third episode of Glee's upcoming season will deal with death of Cory from drug abuse with a special Beatles tribute.

Fox Entertainment Chairman did not clarify whether finn will die of overdose or not but chances are he will die from overdose most probably. In addition to this Proceeds made from the episode will be used to honor the late Cory with forming a foundation in his name.

In the light of the episode dedicated to honor Cory contributing proceeds to form a foundation that works for eradicating substance abuse, everyone one of us has an obligation to do what we can to stop such incidents from happening and comforting such people and supporting them so that they can get their life back on track and can avoid such tragic end for themselves!

Johnny Depp Calls it quits

Entertainment Industry is one of those destinations that people choose most of the times to get fame. Many of these famed artists after achieving success fall down because of material and other distractions, but there are some who keep moving forward to achieve much more. Whether it is Film, television or Music sector fame always get to their heads in the end and start making mistake that brings their downfall. But as i said there are some who stay focused and Johnny Depp is one of them. He did have allot of wrong turns too but still manged to stay on track.

No doubts these films made him who he is today but that really brought him to the broader limelight was his brilliant portrayals of Ed Wood in 'Ed Wood', Joseph D. Pistone in Donnie Brasco, Hunter S. Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, George Jung in Blow and not to forget Bank Robber John Dillinger in Public Enemies. All the success he achieved through these perfectly performed roles lead Depp to become highest paid actor in the whole industry according to Guinness Book of World Records as of 2012.
captain-Jack-sparrow

The Wolverine Review

Logan(Hugh-Jackman)

The superhero film Genre in the previous few years has seen revolution at a remarkable pace. Movies like Superman, Batman and Spider man were rebooted successful that garnered huge success both at the box office and from Critics, at least the first two did. X-Men is another film that was liked by many film goers back in the day, many new X-men movies have been made following its first trilogy series going further to explain unexplained events from history and characters. The latest X-Men movie that explores the character of Logan that is to say Wolverine.

The Wolverine has been directed by James Mangold, a movie that portrays Hugh Jackman in a standalone role, no X-Men or anything else. James should be appreciated to put him out there on screen alone without support from any of X-Men members, which as compared to Iron Man, Thor or Captain America is a difficult feat to achieve. This standalone story is appreciable but all the same one has to admit that it lacks some charisma that was there in the X-Men series. What is even more frustrating is that nothing is wrong in this flick acting on part of Jackman is great as always, he dose deliver that dark pathos perfectly with which his fans identify themselves but still there is nothing more to it then just his intense Dreams and his anger filled fights.

The plot of the film starts right after the third installment of X-Men Trilogy series, Jean Grey is dead and Logan holds himself responsible as seen in his intense dreams. The story is based on a man named Yashida who happens to be the most Powerful man, aged and dying Yashida (who was once saved by Logan in Nagasaki atomic Bomb explosion during WW2) calls out to Logan via Yukia the teleporter. When Logan visit Yashida, he makes a request to Logan for his immortality which is obviously turned down. Yashida dies and at his funeral a gangster squad tries to abduct Mariko who is Yashida's granddaughter, and then ... wait! now i cant  tell you the whole story, can I ? you will have to see the rest of it yourself.

what i can tell you is that it will be really worth to spare some time to watch the movie, but then again i must say that to me Jackman as wolverine is perfect but still he will do allot more well being with other fellow mutants from X-Men.

When Music hits you feel no pain?

Music found its importance in my life after very long almost when my teen years were over, but once i started listening to music it really gave me something to believe in. Something that i could turn to when all else seemed too dark! .. I never looked at music from a musicians point of view but still I do share all the sentiments involved. Everyone has different taste in music and for me country music is most appealing because it is so pure and natural. Other then country I like to listen to Classical Rock and blues.

People find it hard to believe that everything in life follows the same rhythms as in music, maybe that's what makes them despise musicals so much they simply view them to be something gayish to watch. but that's where they are wrong all these musicals take a generic sentiments faced by almost everyone in their lives and depict them so well. ''Music can change World Because it can change People'' that is what I believe.

The most important thing about music for me is the new view on life that I developed as a result of listening to music, The philosophy it incorporates into your meaningless life to strive for something above yourself. Its just amazing to see music affecting you in ways you never thought possible, It really gives your life a direction,  pointing towards right direction. So all in all what music i listen to, those different sounds and words that depict ideas and opinions make me who I am.

Music is a key to life it may bring out positive in many but on the other hand it can turn people to act negatively, the change is inevitable and music keeps changing all the same but the basic sentiments and emotions involved will remain same. For me Music will  remain the constant that embodies the emotions and life so perfectly, a rhythm of life that lends a helping hand when you fall!

The Reluctant Fundamentalist Review

Kiefer sutherland, Riz Ahmad

There are very few movies that are perfect in every sense, everything seems to be carried out in a best way possible. Reluctant Fundamentalist is one such movie with exceptional direction, acting, cinematography and most of all the music. The movie is based on the novel with same title by Mohsin Hamid. Director Mira Nair has made a brilliant piece of art as always, it's almost is a thriller having notion of suspense. The movie bolts up int its plot to a climax in huge flashes, exceptional moments brought together along with that music in zeal of expertise by Nair.

The story revolves around the life turning story of a young Changez, who is trying to deal with realities of life. Carrying out a rational dialogue with the Journalist named bobby Lincoln who is currently writing an article on the kidnapping of an american professor teaching in the same university as Changez. The story is told in flashes throughout the film, starting with changez winning a scholarship to Princeton followed by his interview at Underwood with his latter to be Mentor Jim Cross played by kiefer Sutherland. Changez manages to impress Jim with his confidence and on spot conversation. while in American Changez falls for a young artistic photographer Erica played quite well by Kate Hudson.

The main turning point in the story as well as Changez's life, 9/11 occurs and changez as a result of post scenario starts questioning his ideals. even with his capitalist credentials and his love for america, he is forced into isolation, in his own words as 9/11 made Americans more american they made him more Pakistani. Event after an event leads to the Changez leaving his job and coming back to Pakistan where he starts teaching at a university.

J.K Rowling's take on Crime

Many prominent and well famed authors round the globe may find it very hard to gauge the performance of their new written works given that the success is often driven by their previous experiences in the industry. In these circumstances it becomes very common for renowned authors like J.K Rowling herself to write under the secret name. Most of the time, these authors find it very hard to keep their works secret. One way or another their secret identity is revealed at some point in time.

J.K Rowling wrote a crime novel named ''The Cuckoo's Calling'' under a pseudonym, she used the secret identity of Robert Galbraith to write the novel. J.K intended to reveal her identity anyways but according to her, she wanted the liberating experience to continue for sometime. its only natural that she is angry with the Legal firm Russels for leaking her identity.

Rumor had it that this event was just part of publicity campaign but Russels had made it clear that it was not, furthermore it stated that no one at Russels, Rowling or her agent were involved in any marketing plan whatsoever. Nonetheless one has to admit that all this did help boost sales for the novel, previously 1,500 copies had been sold to public but as fast as the news got ignited novel's place raised more then 5,000 place within hours at Amazon's sales list.

The experience of writing under a different and unknown name has been too good according to Rowling. First copies that were sold and were signed as Robert Galbraith by Rowling can earn allot of money for these first Fortunate Buyers, Keeping in view that these copies have a bid of over $1000 on eBay dose  look promising to me. The cuckoo's Calling is currently at number 1 place on amazon.com.

GLEE: Lost a real talent to Substance abuse !

Cory Moneteith
I always liked watching musicals whether films or TV series, they never get old. Although allot of people dont like musicals especially glee, but still they lack the understanding that music really is what defines us and everything around us. Glee is one such attempt to define what life is via music. Cory Moneteith was part of this series and played his role very well till his death.

He was a Canadian actor and musician who was well known for his role in Glee as Finn Hudson internationally, right from the start he had a very troubled childhood and adolescence involving substance abuse. Cory tried hard at various points in life to get rid of his addiction by entering drug rehabilitation but failed to do so. He had minor roles in series like Stargate Atlantis and Smallville but became famous for his lead role in glee, he was given this role for his audition tape in which he sang ''Cant Fight this Feeling''.  He also worked in films like Monte Carlo and Sisters & Brothers.

When music hits, you feel no pain? White House Down Review
The Reluctant Fundamentalist Review

According to the British Columbia Coroners Service, an overdose of heroin and alcohol that lead to mixed drug toxicity resulted in Cory's Tragic Death. They also said that right now all the evidence points out that it really was tragic accident and not intentional.

Glee had had allot of amazing moments of Cory as Finn Hudson. Out of all those moments in my opinion the best ones were him and all others singing ''DON'T STOP BELIEVING'', Stay Away from my future wife and Cory and Lea's Convo:

Cory and Lea Michele
- Finn: It's your own star
- Rachel: You named a star after me?
- Finn: No, I thought about that, but then I named it Finn Hudson. Because there's already a star named Rachel Berry. And she's right here on earth, and she's brighter than any of       those stars up there. So I just wanted to make sure that whenever she feels lonely she can look up in the sky, and no matter where I am, she can know that I'm looking down on her."

The Family of Cory along with his girlfriend/co-star in glee Lea Michele are grieving, they have received huge amount of wishes from all round the world. Glee's success really did had allot of contribution from Cory and even though Show executive will find suitable replacement but still Glee will never be the same again!

Don't stop believing is an inspiration song covered by glee more then once, the first time it was covered in first episode and was the real motivation for me to pick up this series to watch.

White House Down Review

Roland Emmerich is commonly known for his action blockbusters like Stargate, Independence day, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow and 2012 all having ensemble casts. White House Down another one of Roland's old formula made films has some memorable moments and really is a perfect blockbuster for all those film goers that are interested as a result of nicely put trailer. But other then that it dose not or will not pace up and be comparable to other classics of the genre. It has a straightforward story that is quite focused but it lacks visuals that are usually there in such movies, visuals that are explosive. As compared to Olympus has Fallen, its plot is more of lighter tone and lacks the serious tone that is easily visible in the former.

The movie is not all about politics, its not some drama with political maneuvering but an action film with a good plot and well developed characters. The movie at times focuses upon the modern Geo political happenings, all the effort to center around current issues really makes the movie more feasible for suspense filled twists and turns. Director has tried to sell it the old way well known cast with white house in flames and all that. so all in all the movie is quite appealing if you are action flicks lover.

The story is centered around a US Capitol Police Officer named John cale who is charged with protection of speaker of the House. Cale in hope of winning his daughter named Emily over joins U.S Secret Service and accompanies her to white house for a tour. The tour turns out to be rather unfortunate, a terrorist group lays a well planned siege to the white house that was not anticipated by anyone ! In the process of free President James sawyer from the captivity of terrorists Emily is taken in as hostage by the terrorists. As it happens with all other such movies, it turns out that cale is the only one who stands between the evil force of terrorists and global destruction.

The movie was neither too good nor too bad, the movie really did depend on channing Tatum's talent i.e decent humor with big action. Also Jamie Fox must be given credit, both of these actors were equally entertaining. Jamie really had contribution to all those best moments after all. other then that the supporting roles were also played out well, Jason Clarke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James woods  and Richard Jenkins all of them gave good performances. Many core scenes in the films also owe their excellence to joey king(a thirteen year old boy) and a daughter(Emily) who was a solid addition.

The Reluctant Fundamentalist Review
